Zoe collects tidbits for her ever-present scrapbook, as the magic and serendipity of this city are revealed in full page water color. And with the appearance of each new clue, the excitement really begins.
The writing team of Claudia Mauner and Elisa Smalley grew out of a friendship that was forged at Vassar College. They have traveled the world together, sharing over seas adventures that inspired their creative collaboration on the Zoe Sophia series. Claudia's daughter, the real Zoe Sophia, is a continuous source of inspiration in striped stockings. Claudia received her B.A. in drama from Vassar College, B.F.A from New Yorks School of Visual Arts and her M.F.A. from the Yale School of Art. She works as a graphic designer and illustrator from her own studio, Artbox, in Pennsylvania. Elisa received her B.A. in French literature from Vassar College and an M.S.W. from N.Y.U. She now lives in Chappaqua, N.Y. with her husband and two sons.
